Understanding Research, Methods and Thecniques

Q1 What research have you done (or could you do) that can be called primary research? one of the primary research i carried out was when I had to compare MTV with channel u this was primary as I had to carry out all of the research our selfs.

Q2 What research have you collected (or could you collect) that can be called secondary research?

a piece of secondary research i have done is when I had to read a film review "from v for vendetta" to get ideas about the film. this is secondary because it was another persons work we was reading.

Q3 What research have you done (or could you do) that can be called qualitative?

we carried out a survey for our chosen music video and some of the Q's in it was qualitative such as "do you think it was a good or bad song" this is qualitative as its asking the quality of something.

Q4 What research have you done (or could you do) that can be called quantitative?

we carried out a survey for our chosen music video and some of the Q's in it was quantitative such as "do you like it yes or no" but after the Q's you then add up the amount of people who said yes and then the ones who said no, this is quantitative because you are looking at the amount (a number) of people who said yes or no.

what is research? research is what people do when they need to find information on something.
what do people use to do research? normally people use computers, books, interview, posters. leaflets and documents.
